My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Does seem a bit low tide, but probably a whole different scene at high tide! What a beauty!

I agree with Andrea ... it's got a second life, and isn't just sitting around rotting. Our local sad tale is the Kalakala (pronounced kah-LAK-ah-lah). I think it's past saving now, despite various good intentions. Thanks for sharing a success story!

Better than being scrapped I S'pose! But, who on earth decided on that colour!! Its awful.. Yep, the Themes is very much a title river, that's why the Themes Barrier is placed further towards the estuary.. It does get very high on rare occasions! Sad but interesting shot Clive! Rob
