Description
John Adam Belushi (January 24, 1949 - March 5, 1982) was one of my faorite comedian's way back when on Saturday Night Live (1975 - 1979) and several movies, Blues Brothers (1980), lots of National Lampoon stuff...when Comedy was actually funny. His death had some controversy, but was officially ruled "a drug-related accident"...many people say actor and comedian Christopher Crosby Farley (February 15, 1964 - December 18, 1997)- another one of my favorites- died in the same mannor continuing to follow Belushi footsteps. Anyways, these guys were some of the best despite their ends. R.I.P. to you both!

A remarkably funny man, but a tragic one.. Sadly, very sadly cut off in his prime.. So famous as one of the original Blues Brothers in the film (recommended!) Well posted Rosy, a reminder of a very great comedian.. Well done Hun.. Rob

It's hard to believe he's gone 30 years. Animal House is still a favorite!

He was great! A couple SNL standouts for me were his Samurai repair shop skits and for some reason the Little Chocolate Donuts - Breakfast of Champions mock commercial. The Thing That Wouldn't Leave and too many to recount really. FYI it was Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray in Ghostbusters(1984), no Belushi. Nice dedi.

Gone to soon..... After the endless years watching him on SNL...I'll always remember him the most for Animal House! "Holy s!" "There were blanks in that gun!" "I didn't even point the gun at him!" "Holy s!" "There WERE blanks in that gun!" "Maybe he had a heart-attack..." "HOLY S***!!!"

Nice photo and dedication reminder of John Belushi, who I really enjoyed in The Blues Brothers and National Lampoon's Animal House (1978). His brother James appears in the movies and television.

Whenever I see his name, or somebody mentions John Belushi, the first image that comes to my mind is the nutty, out-of-control, cigar-chomping fighter pilot he played in the movie "1941." He had me in tears! Ah, brings back the good ol' days when SNL was actually worth watching.... Wonderful tribute, Rose! RIP, Blues Brother!
