Description
Going through old photos, and ran across this one of Gracie Anne from early 2007 when she was still felling pretty darn chipper. She was a character, my Gracie Anne. When we'd call her to come in, she would start slowly walking towards, looking at us very intently, trying to figure out what we were going to do. Was she going to get some yucky meds, or some scrummy cookies (got that from Jendella's, grins). Was she going to go for a ride in the car .. or a ride to the vets. She is the only dog I've ever known who would seriously work at reading us. She was the only dog who ever played tricks on us, who seemed to have a lively sense of humor. I think she was an elf or fairy who came back as a dog. Yup, I still miss her after all this time.
I used some Topaz filters to achieve this, so didn't think it belonged in photos. Dunno. Maybe one of the photo mods will see it and tell me.
Still working on keeping up with you all, but I cannot seem to do keep up with you all and create stuff. I'm just not a multi-tasker I guess. If you guys would just stop uploading such awesome, gorgeous, inspiring stuff, maybe I wouldn't get ideas and run off to try to see if I can create instead of looking and commenting, grins.
Don't pay attention to my complaining, you all are such an inspiration to me and get my Muse working overtime!
Thank you again for all your support, marvelous comments, and faves.

Rita! This is so very good! I love the expression in her eyes!! The dog of a lifetime. I'll go for scrummy snacks. I have been telling Cassidy... Good Girls get snacks.. So maybe she won't tear the house up. Trying to catch one of my least favorite critters. :)

Thank you for this. I feel less alone in my grief. I've only had one dog, Aron. Thirteen years with him, and then, since last month, without him. I am currently going through old photos of Aron the puppy. A different life for him, compared to his recent suffering, but also a different life for me.

It is lovely that you have photographs of her to look back on. They really do get into your heart don't they. This is a beautiful capture of her as she is really looking so intensely at you and thinking as she comes towards you. I like how you have presented this too. Excellent work.

After reading your narrative and memories from Gracie Anne and seeing her superbly captured, with this soft and spot-on postwork, no doubt that it is a heart of gold you have for animals, Rita, and most surely a very good understanding of human nature too ! This is a most beautiful capture...
