Description

In memory of the people that died in the fight against the Mafia This monument by artist Mario Pecoraino, was built by the workers of the shipyards of Palermo in weathering steels (COR-TEN)in 1983; the main feature of this metal is that of forming a surface layer of oxides (similar to rust). This layer is oxidized by time and becomes a metaphor of the attrition that the Mafia has on legality.
