What an O.S.H.A. Nightmare. Back when things were simple and people did things for the purpose of producing something, so they just went ahead and did the work... Not as impersonal as a Hammer Dye Machine forging the sword, somehow the hand forged sword is more real, more alive, more intimate. Great Concept Nicely Done!

I had some blacksmiths in my family, too, clear up until the 1950s. I remember watching my relative work the metal. Also, watched some blacksmiths up in Michigan was I was even younger. Was always the most fascinating place to be. Thanks for the reminder. Also, I like how you've caught the glowing end of the hot metal in this one. Very nice. Definitely adding to my favorites.
