Description
After the cleaning of the shop,he gave “Tiny”a little makeover (thanks Don aka hardwaretoad) and had a quick bite to eat.
Having this done Shawn walks the streets of NewCydokk.The people he crosses seem to belong to another world.no smiles no heartfelt laughs.strange behavior indeed.in the old times you could hear the music and laughter and the bragging and loud farting out of the corner cafés where the workers turned in for a couple of “Cervezas”before heading home.
Now these sympathetic little places seem to be in decay,grungy walls and the more grungy people even,the quality of life seems to have dropped here big time.
He might as well go across to the Italian Café and see what kind of people visits this place nowadays.
He was just about to take the shortcut through the trenches when he heard his name in a whisper:”Shawn” and he turned round ,he would have recognised his voice out of thousands,and yes there he stood ,his child time friend Kyo.
“Long time no see bro”Kyo says,in between responding to an imcoming phone call.
“not now”he shouts into the phone and turns it off.
“what happened to all the people? “Shawn replies still very much astonished seeing his old time friend here.
“C’mon ,lets go no big talks on the streets buddy” Kyo says and indicates him to follow ,him heading direction back alley.
“there are cameras and mikes all over the place” he whispers , his face looking bland and expressionless.
Strange behavior for a greeting Shawn thinks to himself,nevertheless following his friend.
“Come on Tinman,lets go “and the loyal bot walks with them,eying the alley for the surveillance equipment,easy to detect for him,after all Shawn puts the latest of sophisticated software into him.

Après avoir nettoyé le shop,il donna un coup de chiffon à son ami le “Tinman”,encore un petit casse-croúte vite fait,et il décida de prendre l’air, marcher un peu dans les rues de son enfance.
Alas,beaucoup de choses semblent avoir changé.les gens qu’il rencontre on l’air pas très heureux,rarement qu’il voit une sorte de sourire.les maisons et l’environnement sont en decomposition,et l’odeur des égouts est partout.
Il se rappela le temps ou dans les cafés il y avait plein de vie,les ouvriers après le travail buvant leurs canettes et faisant leurs blagues.quelque chose n’est pas dans les paramètres normaux,comme son père disait toujours.
Il faisait demi-tour pour aller dans lautre direction vers le café italien,pour voir un peu la sorte de clientele de ces jours-ci.
Il prenait le chemin le plus court en traversant les “fossées”quand il entendait quelqu’un souffler son nom.
“Shawn” et un peu plus fort “Shawn c’est toi mon ami”?
Il se retourna et vit un jeune homme avec une casquette en cuir,qu’il reconnut tout de suite.
“Kyo!”il s’écria et se rapprochait du jeune homme,qui était entrain de parler dans un mobile de haute qualité.
Kyo se retournait et lui faisait signe de le suivre.
“qu’est ce qui arrive dans ce quartier?” il lui demanda et le suivit.
“pas de discussions dans les rues,plein de caméras et micros”lautre lui répond en murmurant.
Ils prenaient la direction vers le sous-sol.
“Bizarre,bizarre” Shawn pense,le comportement agité de son ami d’enfance lui faisant un peu peur.
Et il sentait déjà que le jeu avait commencé,l’adrenaline montant sa colonne vertebrale.
Le Robot les suivait à quelques pas en observant les alentours,après tout il était équipé et configuré avec le materiel le plus sophistiqué.

Wunderbarer Einstieg in die Story....die mich doch sehr an George Orwells "1984" erinnert. Die totalitäre Überwachung. (Und schon sind wir in der Gegenwart angekommen, nur die Mittel sind ausgefeilter in der Zeit von MicroChip, Internet, Kreditkarten....wir sind doch auch schon "gläsern" geworden).
