The Olsen Gang is a series of Danish crime comedies consisting of 14 movies (1968 - 1998) with three very popular Danish actors playing a not very sukcesful gang with big plans but often poor outcome.
All the movies, except one and last was directed by Erik Balling. 'Olsen Gang' became big cult in Denmark, and were popular too in former East Europe, like the DDR.
The three with Egon Olsen in the lead, are always trying to steal from corrupt bankers and other alike, criminals in suits and they were very loved characters, not only in Denmark, but both Norway and Sweden did their own remakes of them.
