Description
I was trying to make the lighting look like she was by a fire..Any one have suggestions on how to make cool flames in photoshop..I never get flames right..Or I would have put some in this picture..

Hmmm, flames. Well to create the look of being lit by flames you would have to have a less even lighting. Because flames dance in and out of existance, they light a subject unevenly, creating intense bright areas contrasting sharply with deep shadows. The light also generally creates a very clear image, as it's a single light source (classic rembrant). To really emulate the effect you would probably have to draw contoured shadows on your subject. Would take a huge amount of work.
