So it was time for a little departure. My last couple of renders were pinups and all that I have done lately was based on Genesis. So I decided to try my hand at V4 today. The results? Honestly much better than the last time I tried. I downloaded the freebie metadata for V4 and M4 from ShareCG which made working with V4 from the Smart Content panel a lot nicer than messing around the old fashioned way. You can get V4.2 Base metadata here: http://www.ShareCG.com/v/60197/view/9/Plug-in/Metadata-for-Victoria-4.2-Base
My character today is the lovely Ki'ara. She, her hair and clothing are all from Dark Apocalypse Prisoner Of War by IgnisSerpentus at Daz3D.
The set is the versatile and useful DM's Wall of Litany freebie. Thanks Danie and marforno!
Since Ki'ara is supposed to be a sort of post-apocalyptic warrior I decided to try for that in today's render. The pose and expression are all mine, except I used a hand morph to clench the fists. It takes a surprisingly long time to do that manually!
Rendered in DS4 Pro at quite high quality settings. Raytrace at 6 and shading at .20 with DoF on.
I used three lights this time. 1 spotlight up high and aimed at the backdrop, intensity at 200% and a dark red colour. A second spotlight in front at about 40% intensity and focused fairly tight on her chest with a pinkish colour. And 1 pointlight right behind her head to give her hair and shoulders some definition.
I'm happy with the result. Ki'ara is an almost elfin looking petite beauty so I think the look of rage adds to the impact. Hopefully you enjoy it :)

Superb subdued lighting and expression which give a scary mood !

It all ties together really well, too. I often use a pointlight like you have here, too, otherwise the shoulder area can get totally lost with a dark set and low lighting. Her rage is felt... ;)

Nice work with V4. She still has a few tricks left up her sleve.
