Description
The first order of business, once they were all settled back into their places and recovered from their battles, was to set things right for Connor.
As a sidhe, Connor was a child of the Goddess. To that end, it was Gwidion who asked Ursala to preside over his burial, commendation and release - for Ursala was a high priestess of the Mother. No one of the fey knew that until Beren happened to mention it one night as they'd camped on their way to another village. They also learned that night that Moira was a priestess of the Mother as well. Gwidion kept these things in mind, knowing that it would be more fitting for Ursala to conduct this business than him. Ursala gladly accepted, feeling honored to do so and to be called upon by the Fey for such a thing. She and Moira donned their priestess garb, and were escorted to the place of Connor's burial by all those fey who would be attending. They'd all come to appreciate both Beren and Ursala, and would never again doubt that Moira's love of them both wasnt earned.
Ursala looked beautiful, absolutely glowing as she approached the head of the grave where what they could recover of Connor's remains had been lovingly placed and buried over. Morgan was smiling, glad to finally have his father properly buried and to obtain the release of his soul from that vile worm Mog.
Ursala raised her arms then, as the moon rose on the horizon:
"This eve'n, we gather before our Lady Mother to set to rest the soul and earthly remains of Connor mac Bran, who was also called Connor Madath-Aliuth, the Wolf King. Connor was wise, generous and kind to all who came his way. He was a fierce warrior, a grand mage and a righteous king to his subjects. He was a teacher and a mentor to many. In Connor, we have lost a great soul from our midst. Blessed Mother, who art now risen to greet him, take your child to your breast and let him know eternal rest at last. So mote it be, and by these words, I set him free!"
Connor had only been deposed because of certain fey lords who'd decided they wanted Connor's power, and the Fey Wars that ensued. Those same wars had taken many, including Dermit the father of Angus. They all knew this and so in a way, to finally bury Connor was symbolic of burying all those who'd fallen in those wars and never been found or properly sent on to the Other World.
The second order of business was a hand-fasting or two - make that three - for one of the brides to be was with child. One day soon, Angus would be a father to a little girl with her daddy's red hair, a face full of freckles, and her mother's ears. Her name would be Rhona.
As for that thing Beren asked Ursala to think about, her response to Gwidion's offer to do for them what he'd done for his sister was "No". She wasn't going to change what the fates had dealt her. "There will always be our kind, my King...and as now, they will need guidance." She took his hand and pressed it to her lips. "Do ya accept that Beren?"
"I told ya, love whate'er you decided was fine by me."
And so when all the others had passed on to that other place leaving their children behind, Beren and Ursala lived on - the King and Queen of the UnDead. Times changed and they changed with them. In the late 1700's they migrated across the ocean, first to Nova Scotia and eventually further south.
And now this story is ended. Thank you so much to those who followed it. A special big Thanks to Art (adorety) for his wonderful contributions to the story, which made it even better!!! :)
Cheers,
Rayvn

Zoom is best for details. Just wanted to add a comment about the Priestess of the Sun outfit and nirvy's Andraste mats for it: This is a gorgeous outfit and very easy to fit on the models - even Ms Voluptuous (Ursala) was cake to get it all to fit. I highly recommend it and nirvy's additional Andraste mats are beautiful!!

Wonderful image. I love the background and the gathering and poses of the people is excellent. Even Morgan's wolf is into it. Great epilogue and lead in to the modern tale you have started. Now we know Rhona's origins. Excellent work and great story. Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

Brings a mist to my eye, so beautifully done. There was a reason why this story got a bit delayed, the perfect outfits for the priestess's only arrived on market this week. Ah, this is a fine and fitting ending. Ursula, my favourite character, does look radiant and I knew she would not accept the offer of mortality and of course that Beren would be with her. The background is beautifully done, the release of Conner's soul is elegant. The wolf is a fine extra touch. And now onto the next venture that you started. Fine job girl, I really enjoyed this story, it woke up so many parts of my soul you will not know. I looked up Sidhe and now I understand. I must admit I loved the name FracturedRealies, as I thought it so fitting for your work, and I will miss seeing the name, but if the change was to be made then these are the images for it.

Oh wow--at first when I kept seeing the e-notifications with your new name I was like--who? LOL This render is such a brilliant tribute to the entire story it is breath taking and its beauty and it is well advised that one view it whole screen. Sooo, are we gonna see ALL these folks in the modern sequel or trilogy??? :-) Luv'n the Priestess outfits--they do steal the show... But it was satisfying to see the evil scourge that was Mog meet his end. However, I am sure our heroines and heroes can find new and mighty battles to fight--wonder how you feel as the tale comes to this bit of end--cathartic?
