Description

This image is a combination of two photographs of the Rogue River Bridge taken from different angles. The side view of the bridge was taken from the Port of Gold Beach (Oregon) and the bottom left-hand corner view was taken out the windshield of the car while crossing the bridge. (For those of you who freak out over that sort of thing ... Bill was driving.) The bridge crosses the Rogue River, which you would see if I hadn't put the second image in where the river goes. It is formally known as the Isaac Lee Patterson Bridge, and you can read the Wiki HERE. Since this is two photographs combined into one image I thought about putting it in Photo Manipulation. Or Architecture. Or Photo Manipulation. Or perhaps Architecture. In the end I flipped a coin. Moonlight courtesy of postwork. What I want you to see are the Deco design details, and this was a good way to highlight them while still giving you an idea of the surrounding terrain.

I was trying to work out in my mind what was going on until I read your description, now it fits perfectly. It's a lovely bridge design, and doesn't detract from the breathtaking landscape around it. Cleverly done presentation!

At first I thought the upper one was a railroad bridge spanning the highway. Interesting work and the construction techniques were interesting too!
