Description

I decided to experiment with this picture, and I kind of like the result. By pulling the color out it really emphasizes the textures of the rocks, and by shooting at night the black background is even more effective in an absence of color. People who follow my posts of these things already know the drill: no glue, photoshop tricks or such were used to make these rocks stand like this. It's just balance, gravity, and friction. Thanks for taking a look!

I don't know why, but it sort of looks like Snoopy.

I do like this in mono! Very nicely done. Texture, shape and light jump out without any distracting color. Wooot!

You continue to amaze me with these little wonders. Like the nightime shot for all the reasons you do. Well done.

Looks like it could be a scene from a scary movie. Great shot.

You must be a magician! Or very patient as you arrange these stones. Night time shot makes this even more mysterious and idol-like.

Man, you never cease to amaze me with these incredibly cool balanced rocks! And the black & white is absolutely perfect for this! I has such a mysterious feel to it - like the Easter Island statues... Wonderful shot, Mike!

You know, I think Geirla's is right! It does look like Snoopy. Heh! What fascinates me about this one is how that one small rock just below the top one manages to hold up that bigger rock.
