My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A lovely shot Tara, Julie would love this for the garden (unless it was too big).

Glorious postwork! A most desirable hunk. That shows my age..when a piece of wood is preferable to Tom Cruise.

Love this shot and the b/w really makes it. :)

I like the B/W effect of the photo, it shows the texture of the wood.

I love this stuff; as smooth as this is it makes me wonder how long it's been kicking around in the water. Beautiful find and great capture!

That's a quite a chunk of driftwood! But the sea is monstrous beast at times! Great postwork you've applied here, like it Tara.. Rob

AmaZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzing monochrome photograph!

It's all gnarly looking and I can actually visualise, so typical of something designed by Mr.A.Gaudi here ... which is all good - I like it! BB PS I had to laugh at the juicy Cantaloupe colour comparison - WOW - it would take my breath away ;)

a wonderful shot of texture and lighting... well done!

A fine b&w abstract of natural forms - brings to mind the amazing photography of Ansel Adams...

I wish we had such driftwood on our beach. Then I would visit it every so often. This is a lovely dreamy image, Tara :-D

This is gorgeous, Tara! I can only imagine what that would look like stained and varnished.... It's probably a good thing I'm so far from the coast(s) - I'd be far too tempted to take these chunks home and create something artistic - which I'm sure would be frowned upon by certain authorities... LOL!

Driftwood makes wonderful ornaments when polished. Now to get it back home :)
