Description

MB3D Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. Its been just over a month now since I changed positions at work. I had been in management at our local health center. It had reached the point I dreaded going to work each day knowing we were facing yet another shortage of workers to the point it is hard to not start closing beds that are very much needed. I switched back into a position where I am once more doing work with clients that have mental health problems, be it dementia, or depression or any other one as long as they are over 65 years old. I now am able to sleep at nights and have great job satisfaction knowing I am able to actually help the folks and thier families. It meant about a $3.00 an hour rollback to change, but my own mental health is worth far more than that. Have a wonderful week! Nice Mandala, super work Jim. Job satisfaction is important, making gobs of money doing something you hate may make your Bank account happy but is it worth it, that's what you have to answer for yourself. Peace

My Mother-n-law works for St' Coletta's of Wisconsin (30 years)and my sister is an in home care giver as well(25 years)....My middle son is finishing his classes to become an elderly care giver also...I've been around this type of work most of my last 20 years...Helping others that can't or just need help themselves is a rewarding career that makes you realize that their are others less fortunate and need folks like us to make a difference... I salute you Jim.... not many people I've come to know over the years would get involved with this profession simply because it requires a lot of patience....And of course it's really an emotional roller coaster at times as those that do this will say it's hard not to become attached to their clients over time....Once again Jim....I commend your choices and respect what you have done and the sacrifices you've made to help those less fortunate... Smiles)........

any health professional job all the way down to the janitors are stressful jobs.before going to work as a draftsman I worked in the xray department of a large hospital.the mornings was rush rush trying to get all the patients through before lunch.after lunch it was a piece of cake. I miss working (money part), but the stress of not knowing if helpers would be available, weather ,and carrying so many tools and ladders- I do not miss a bit outstanding MB work Jim

A super fractal wheel. I am glad that you are enjoying your work more now even though you have taken a big cut in pay. As they say 'money isn't everything', your peace of mind is more important. Great that you can help the elderly[I'm in that bracket now].

i can imagine that (depending on the charcters of the person)it must be awful calculating the numbers while knowing that behind each nomber is a life a desitiny etc. to me ot would also be ok to accept a rollback in pay and keep my spirits high.i can imagine that the work in the management ate you up. sad thing is:you cant help me i have Insanium Spackonensis and i am under 65 darn (lol)
