Description

Monday, March 19, 2012 USS Reid (FFG-30) Another photo of the USS Reid. This was taken on the helecopter flight deck looking foreward. The wide door in the center of the photo is the personel door into the hangar. On each side are the hangar doors for the helecopters. They are made of wide slats and open upwards by rolling the doors up, like a garage door. Above the personel door is the base of the control “tower” for the helecopters. As is obvious from the photo, it was taken on a day the ship was open to the public. For ships statistics, see my previous post at – http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2311171 Another post tomorrow! Enjoy!

Nice array of pictures and plaques hanging there.. Wonder whatever happened to them? Memories of a ship now gone.. (Well, gone from the U.S Navy!).. Super shot, more like this, and if you have, more of your models! Rob
