I want to thank especially my friend Vyktohria who gifted me her wonderful Penelope. Thank you hon, you have no idea how long I have waited for someone like her. Thank you also to Maddelirium whose striking Shaelyn is Mom, and Sveva for her wonderful special effects tutorial.
Light set is my own creation, plus thanks to Sveva, much detailed lighting is painted in.
This is the first time I have put a child in a scene. I have never been happy with the DAZ kids, frankly they just look to straight for my taste. And then you need special clothes and who makes clothes for wiccan kids? Happily Oskarsson has created a teenager from V4 and Viktorhia has created a character - Penelope. She is so great because all V4 clothes fit her with just a tiny tweak if at all. I do hope more characters are created for her.
This is the first of a series I have wanted to do for years, called Moms/Mentors and Daughters. It is all about Wiccans and Warriors passing on knowledge to their children.
I have about six I really want to do. If you have any ideas in this theme that you would like to see done in my bold, vibrant style just pipe up in comments or site mail. It doesn't have to be happy - as long as something is being taught or learned. Adult males are also welcome. Kids have to be female.
Here is the First, Mom's Magic Moment. That very special feeling of joy when your child embraces what you have taught her or after much practice and struggle she succeeds at a craft. That is a magic moment we carry with us for our lifetimes.
There are three hidden onlookers, can you spot them all?

Very cool idea for a theme and a wonderful image, Roxy! A proud moment for Mom and daughter has apparently learned her lessons well. Home-schooling, I presume ;) Wonderful magical effects, as always!

Aside from the stunning FX... exceptional poses and expressions. The fantastic wardrobe for mom and daughter. The Terrific background and the amazing light, all I really have to say is...WOW!! (do hope to see more should be a highly enjoyable series)

You've created/captured that moment so well here. Mom looks very proud and the daughter looks alight at what she's accomplished. The characters are beautifully done in look and expression and the effects are excellent. Great lighting keeps the background dark and the charcters well lit and focused. Exceptional work. You have a unique and wonderful style that is all yours. Cool theme/idea too. My two cents would be that we learn the most from when we make mistakes, as long as someone is there to point out where we went wrong. Hopefully, after yelling at us, the mentor would tell us it's ok to make a mistake and then help us back on our feet and throw in a few pointers too. Though a bit cliche' and/or corny, something of the Sorceror's Apprentice comes to mind.
