Description

This is the only shot I have been able to capture of the male. He always stays futher away when I am up there. As with all birds of prey, he is a little smaller than the female. This pair has been nesting in this same tree for at least 10 years. This is the first year that anyone remembers that there have been 3 chicks. I hope they all fledge.

Oh, my. What a beautiful photo of our national symbol. And in mid-flight. Such huge wings. I wonder how they fold up? He keeps his distance, but, what does mom do? I bet she's not all that happy about visitors! Do be careful! Keep up the good work! :-)
