Description
It looks that today, and not tomorrow is the real vernal equinox. Anyway, I'm posting these pretty flowers from Patrick's garden for you all. Actually the garden flowers are especially in the care of his wife Milena, and these are her pride and joy. She told me the name of these flowers, but I'm a lost case, and a I can't remember it!

Bellissimi fiori , gfantastica immagine , Sandra ! Tradizionalmente ho considerato oggi l'equinozio , come ci hanno insegnato da bimbi a scuola .Na sarà sempre così? A me sembra che le stagini non coincidano più con questa terminolgia , riesce molto difficile capire che stagione sia .

because of the almost 'posed' sense in the flowers---like they assumed these positions for you---and their vivid hues and saturated whites; and because of their placement against your muted earthen background with either soft-focussed forms or abstracted forms...this has the feeling of a powerful graphic piece, the flowers awash in a deep mature warmth, while the background is like a deep summer brown. It's spring with a very powerful presence; and very warm & almost Japanese in spots, the way the flowers play against a 'designed' background, as in a print. A fine warm welcome to spring, which---in many places this year---was welcomed with some unusually warm weather.
