Description

This is the visual recreation of a historic attack of British RAF B24 Liberator Bomber Squadrons on the Thai ship S.S. Suddhadib, comprised of 29 visuals created with Vue, SketchUp, Poser and Photoshop. This particular visual shows an air-to-sea bombing technique called skip bombing. Bombs are dropped at very low altitude and skip on the water surface like a 'skipping stone'. They are planned to hit the side of the ship, sink and explode underneath. Crew members of this attack reported of bombs actually skipping OVER the target as seen here in the picture. View the full result at: http://www.pattaya-scuba.net/PS/Suddhadib_attack_video.html

I've never seen this done before other than the Dam Buster raid and never with a conventional bomb. Great rendering and postwork!

Your water splashes in all of your scenes are awesome! Love the history of WWII.
