Description

"I would have gotten away with my zombie apocalypse if it hadn't been for you meddling kids!" It's been a while since I've had time to work on something, but thankfully this one has been chipped away at since late last year and having a little time this week, I was able to put the wraps on it and call it done. It's sort of a Scooby Doo meets Resident Evil kinda thing starring my personal favorite SD character, Velma and of course, Scooby freakin' Doo. I always figured that when the shit went down Velma would come out on top. I personally have no idea how the others fared, but my assumption is that she had to put them down after they turned. Lifes a bitch and then Michael Jackson tries to eat you. Enjoy :) **Edit** for those that are wondering how this one was constructed, it was roughed in using just a few key buildings and some low-poly models for the van and Velma. I set the atmosphere, lighting and then then built out three different scenes using the rough in as a guide - foreground, midground and then the background. This allowed me to pack each scene full of models and then render each one separately, composting them together in Photoshop later. I ended up making a fourth scene after not being totally happy with the water and the amount of debris, so I went back in and floated a bunch of trash in the newly tweaked water material until it looked right. After the composite work was done, I still wanted more trash, so I brought in some additional debris in Photoshop and packed it into any remaining voids. The finished piece is 6000 x 3375px …thanks for looking!

Lol at your storyline... Velma never looked so good. Hell, even SD looks good. Astonishing ammount of detail but I've gotten used to that in your work, everywhere one looks you've got something that adds to the atmosphere. Here it's MJ getting ready to zombie dance his way into her heart, I hope Scooby rips his freakin' head off... lol. Just amazing.

Holy s**t this is awesome!! Only you can create an apocolyptic scene like I could only dream of doing. My hats off to you!! How do you get so much into a scene without Vue crashing?
