Very nice render. The perspective is great and the red lighting adds to it greatly. The flare worked nicely as well. But as always I point out something..Sorry.. but that satelite dish size in ration to the rest of the ship looks huge in all respects.. may just be the perspective but thought I would point that out. I just wish i could finish mine and make it look like you do.

As much as I love the whole series, I'm still not certain about the exhaust flare layout. I doesn't seem right with the reflections.

Again thanks for all your comments, as far as the Hi-Gain and Phase array antenna is concern they are about the correct size for the ship, it could be the perspective of this image as to why you see it like it is. To shayhurs if you have been paying attention to my series you would have notice that the red glow is not from the engines but from the 8 red running lights 4 to each engines attached to the mounting ring right before the nozzels. Check out my image "Finished render to "The Art of Boolean (Part XI)" you'll see what I mean. Again thanks for your comments. David ;-)

Nice image. The lens flare and lighting work really well in this pic. When you model, do you work from concept ideas from NASA....etc....?

dlewis, thanks for your comment, "When you model, do you work from concept ideas from NASA....etc....?" I get most of my ideas from what I've seen during my life time, every book on space flight to everything I've seen either in person or on T.V. Most of the technologies that I use in my images are based on sound scientific principles from information that I have ascertain from papers written by Robert Goddard, Warner Von Braun to information from JPL/NASA. I have always been a big fan of the U.S. Space program and hope that within our lifetime that we have a manned mission to Mars. I hope this answers your question. David ;-)
