Hi, my name is Ulla and I live in Switzerland. Besides having a talent in working with clay and modelling sculptures in ceramic, photography has been one of my fav hobbies since my teenage years. In the ninties when computers and digital cameras came into my life this hobby was intensified a lot.
Creating in 3d nowadays is my main focus, although my camera still stays with me.

Traurige Gesellschaft !

Hope someone saved those big teddy bears. They could be cleaned up and given to some kids who would be grateful for them.

Almost seems like the one is saying...no one love me. It's a shame that people can be so uncaring. Dry cleaned for very little and off to a new home where they would give years of comfort to some child. I may have told this story before...but worth telling again. Was told on the news here in the states.. A family brought in a dog because they had no use...yes..USE...for it anymore. Looking into this..the shelter found out that this was a service dog..had been the constant companion for a sick child for years. Now a teenager...it seems he had no use for the dog anymore, so the parents had simply taken it to the pound The shelter took the dog and transferred it back into the service system where it can help some other child. The people at the shelter could hardly believe what this teenager, or the parents were doing. Sorry to go into a rant...the picture just brought back this story to me.

I'm glad to hear that the teddies were saved as they look so sad to have been thrown out. I guess they knew someone would want them.

Seems they were positioned perfectly so someone whould take them. Glad that happened.

I'm glad they were saved :( I take mine to Goodwill, where I know someone could use or love what I give. Great catch of this photo ... !!!

It is amazing the things that get tossed away. I'm glad someone saw them and "rescued" them. Hopefully, some child will get to enjoy them now.

I can only imagine what else might be in there!

Many reasons to why all that was tossed away..but no reason I can understand other than of all the places that could of been donated to out weighs where it ended up...People today(not all...but some) have no value for things other than it's not important enough to make a little extra effort and do the right thing.Hopefully who ever snagged these teddy bears made some childs dreams come true.. And besides....those are not cheap...I know...I've bought one for my wife every anniversary for the past 31 years....At some point we will donate them to a needy child's charity and not toss them aside like trash...just say'n....

Ulla, I am glad they were saved. They really looked so sad. :) Great shot though :)

It's crazy how we throw away things that still can be used. Excellent shot. ;)

Great shot

I think it's interesting that everyone is anthropomorphizing and identifying with the teddy bears. There's a whole bunch of perfectly good children's stuff visible in that dumpster that no one is commenting on, and probably more underneath that. I really hope that nobody lost a child, and just couldn't bear to keep anything around.
mininessie
i´m glad they are with you now!!!

Where I live we contact the Vietnam Vets assoc. Homefront and any number of charities that welcome donations from clothes to furniture to toys. Donation is the best kind of recycling.

Unsere Gesellschaft würde am liebsten alles auf den Müll werfen, auch uns Ältere, wenn sie dürften :-( Ein trauriges Bild, hoffentlich hat sich ein liebes Kind nun darüber gefreut!

Sad and touching!
