Description
Moeritherium is related to the elephant and more distantly the sea cow. It lived during the Eocene epoch (about 37-35 million years ago), remains found from Egypt. Animal length was about 3 meters (9.8 ft). Moeritherium was not an ancestor of modern elephants and died out, leaving no descendants.
