Description

What a lot of work this was! All the buildings modelled by me in Blender. The SUV and truck by Poserworld, the red pickup by Mr Sparky. Tractor by Charles Lipe. Mr Willemse is Apollo. The town name is typical South African, containing something to do with water, and something to do with human troubles. Sukkel means struggle or difficulty, and drif is a shallow place in a river where you can cross it. I imagine the oxwagons kept getting stuck, so they named the town after it. So Sipho gets a ride to the city with the farmer. And I have to make the city. What did I let myself in for?!

I just went back & viewed this series from the beginning. It's a touching story creatively illustrated & I can tell that a great deal of care & effort has gone into it. Very impressive. I look forward to seeing how Sipho's story unfolds...

I hadn't seen anything in Blender for a while from you, so I came here to check your gallery and found this wonderful story! I had forgotten you'd said you were learning Blender in order to illustrate stories. Your hard work has paid off ... this is really well done.
