Absolutely wonderful high res photographic material is is both king. Baggins (the Poser shader master) has published a render at this thread at Daz forum, http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=174006&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=380 By using something he calls artistic lens he duplicates a render by mec4D. Read about it in the thread, http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=174006&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=380 (at Daz), and here is the 'manual', http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2754029 at Renderosity. Is his explanation of the 'artistic' lens he argues that it can be done in Photoshop but that there are advantages doing it in the renderer. But the thing is the best way to do it is in Bodypaint! Bodypaint has Photoshop build in. So when I render Natasza, Dublen or Lana they look marvelous directly in Poser with nothing but the default light. And now Remzi (mec3D) is on her way to join the most exclusive club in the world. It is a privilege to be part of it!

Well you can do lots with Bodypaint, i agree, but it still has a steep learning curve to it. But if you want correct scales then you cant get around projection painting
