Description

2017 - a new method of sending hyper compact stellar communications is developed and a signal is sent out to the stars of friendship and to welcome visitors to earth 2023 - a signal arrives at Kepler-22b, about 600 LY away. 2023 - the signal is interpreted by a highly advanced race (the Qjins) to come as soon as possible and engage. 2031 - a fleet of ships leaves the planet on a mission to earth with a new stellar ships. It took the Qjin just 5 years to develop a highly advanced integrated drive to send ships to earth. 2052 - the fleet arrives at earth and begins to bomb the planet. The Qjin dont understand why the inhabitants dont fight back. The inhabitants had 35 years to plan for the competition? The resistance is almost nonexistant and the defense cant stop the city busters they lobbed from space. They finally, after several weeks send in a landing force to find out what happened. They discovered a race of humanoids who were mentally inferior to their race and didn't realize that they had sent an invitation to come and try to do combat with them. They hadn't realized they had offered their planet and inhabitants up to a race of conquering aliens to make war and try to invade them. 2054 - the game was over and since they were there, The Qjin might as well move in while they are there. After all, the Qjin played for keeps.

I always believe that when we do finally communicate with another race or civilization that it may not be what we thought...sometimes being alone may have its advantages...then again....(smiles)..
