Description

One of the capsule positions on the London Eye is filled by this pipe cage model. Maybe it is for extreme sportsmen to enjoy more of a thrill with the view! I did not go for a ride on it this time while there - I have done it before - spent my time and money on other things! Have a good day, Clive

Weird! Never noticed that before.. Maybe they were re-glazing it ready for the 'Rip Off' Olympic Games etc.. Otherwise I'm not sure what it's for.. Well noticed Clive.. Rob

Very cool! I know I've seen that spot filled with seasonal displays, like Christmas lights etc., it would be interesting to find out the reason for it from the company that runs it.

You know I went and looked it up! LOL! Apparently they're replacing/repairing/refurbishing one pod at a time in preparation for the increased traffic during the Olympics. That way there's no break in service. :) I love all the lines and angles. A most satisfying shot!

That is strange that they would do that unless they are showing the world how it was built. Super shot either way!
