Description

Any we were to late to see how they make wooden barrels. My Brother and Sister In Law did some Brandy tasting. R75 a head to do brandy tasting and it is a combination of Brandy and chocolate. The brandy samples were of the following ages. A 10 year brandy, 15 year brandy and a 20 year old brandy. The one who served the brandy told us that you must first hold the glass of brandy far from your nose than you will first smell the fruit and as you bring it nearer to your nose you will smell the alcohol etc. I could not really distinguish a difference in smell of fruit and alcohol. Blessed day and week. God Bless.

Single Malt myself. I would suggest what the "nose" at Woodinville Whiskey Company outside of Seattle suggested. Put your nose to the rim of the glass, but inhale using your MOUTH. By drawing that way, you can notice the subtle differences (I have an "iron nose" that can normally only tell the strongest of smells due to allergies, but this worked for me).
