This is a bit of an update. From humble beginnings my photography is steadily improving.I started out with a Kodak point and shoot camera and progressed to a Sony A-200 Digital SLR camera.Other equipment that i currently have is the following: Tamron 70-300mm lens. Single Malt myself. I would suggest what the "nose" at Woodinville Whiskey Company outside of Seattle suggested. Put your nose to the rim of the glass, but inhale using your MOUTH. By drawing that way, you can notice the subtle differences (I have an "iron nose" that can normally only tell the strongest of smells due to allergies, but this worked for me).
