Description
Did this one a come time ago just as a test of dynamic cloth.
You know how I'm always complaining about my ancient machine? Well, you never have to hear about it again because it finally died. Right now I'm running Linux on it just to access the internet and get access to old files, but I can't run any of my old programs such as Poser or Photoshop. Hell, I can't even watch Netflix. (cries)
So until the first end-of-the-month paycheck from the new job comes in on April 30'th, I'll be renderless. So if you're one of the people that wishes I would crawl off in a hole somewhere and disappear, you're getting your wish for a month. Lucky you! I won't be around for a little while.
When I come back, I'll be slowly building up a better 3d system so I'm hoping that the stumbling blocks that a slow, powerless system have set up in my rendering style will be removed and I'll be able to render some more complex things.
But for now, I just wanted to say I'll be gone for a month, two at the latest, and I'm not dead or anything yet. I'm just without a working system.
It totally sucks. You want to know how dependent you are a computer? Throw yours out the window and see how long you last.
Awful.

I know how you feel. My machine is 5 years old, and I finally have the cash to upgrade a bit within the old system. I may be stuck with ddr2 ram, but now I'll have 8GB's worth and a newer GPU. I moved over to Linux just I could have 64bit support, and am still trying to get Poser and Carrara to run under WINE (once I stop breaking my system -- only been running Linux for a few months and still getting used to it, so it's a learning curve similiar to the first time I tried Poser). So that's why I dropped out myself. Good luck with getting a new machine. Wish I could afford the full upgrade :) Nice work on the dynamics.

I know how you feel ... I had to go almost a year without being able to render! Hang in there and hope you are back soon!

Superb picture! About old machines I can tell you - LOL! - my boys are so often nude because in clothes the files are to big that my old compy would crash! LOL! So then see you hopefully soon back here, dear friend!

First: He's wearing a Hoodie! Very suspicious!! Better shoot him on the spot. Self-defence, y'know! Second: I like the dynamics. They look very natural. Third: I hope you can get a decent machine soon! Being without a working PC is just not life in 21st century - it's just survival (c:

Great dynamics and can't wait until you get your new renderbeast! (You realize you will just get resource hogging software you didn't have before and then the renders will be as long as ever ;)

Heh, I've been just where you are and I'll be here waiting when you return <3. Good luck! I like that jogging suit, by the way. It's this and breezy just the way track suits are. Which is why I don't wear them XD.
