These images have awesome detail! But something about them seems just a bit strange. I'm thinking that when you get this close to someone's skin -- so close that you can see details of their pores -- you would also see hair follicles, and I don't see any here. Is there any way to simulate the very fine and almost invisible (except in extreme closeups such as these) facial hair that even very young women and children have?

Yes moriador, i did this in with the hair in maya several times:) it is also possible to do that in poser, or in postwork, but i just wanted to let people see the raw render nothing more or less. But it is possible in the hairroom, as i have tried and also made some experiments with it. Good question!
