What's New with The Art Of Carol Cavalaris
Galleries: I currently exhibit my work in several Colorado galleries, including juried shows at Art At The Center in Nederland, and Gilpin County Art Association in Central City. I also exhibit in several on-line art galleries. I also have on-going exhibits at various banks, community centers, libraries, restaurants, and also participate in local Art Fairs and Festivals. Art Licensing: I am a collectible artist with The Bradford Exchange, where my art is on a Dream Catcher Collection, as well as an exclusive figurine and sculpture collection. My art is also being licensed and is on a variety of products including: eSkins for laptops, iPads, iPhones, etc., puzzles that are being sold in Target, K-Mart, and other retail and web stores. Several of my pieces have been licensed by a company called The Mountain. They produce high-quality, environmentally-friendly T-shirts and other apparel, and have some of the finest wildlife and fantasy artists in the world on their team. man, your flowers sometimes just undulate their way into the world as they do here, with the petals feeling like they 'paint' their way into existence as much as 'grow'. (Your oil paint background shows in many of your nature works.) And this bulbous journey is matched by that inimitable color-sense---where pinks lead to yellows and deeper pinks, etc. I think part of what I find so powerful in your plantlife is the way each petal, leaf, etc, seems to have a journey of its own, emerging and submerging even in a single leaf. The rest of the piece morphs from a restive green at the bottom to positively bold deep reds at the top. (Georgia O'Keeffe used those reds. They explode from the heart right into the universe.) And among some sensitively painted dragonflies, one has such a rich pink, it nearly takes our breath away. Really, a portrait of the blooming of the soul, and just beautiful. I'm sorry I don't get here often enough, my long comments take real time but I'll keep coming back; and I thank you again for your always deep & caring comments in my gallery, a bit embarrassing considering how piecemeal my comments are to you (& many others). I'm in & out of town another week, but will be in touch soon, but this piece is a cosmic burst...another fav for sure.
