Description

It's been a while since I visited with Alice and I wondered what all the new rendering tools could do for her. So I tunneled into my runtime, finding all the old AerySoul stiff from back in the P4 days along with some of the new Alfaseed and this is what I came up with. I liked it, but then, I'm old and sorta into the nostalgia trips. Lemme know what ya think. Don't think there is anything from Rendo here, Just all AS and AlfaSeed. AlfaSeed - AvaAdore and DesirHair AerySoul - Gothic Prison, Heroes of Fantasy, and of course, Alice. Oh, even the pose is AerySoul :) Retextures on prison are mine except for ice textures from Calidas' Winterland - Xmas 08 Light is generic IBL that comes with Reality with a little tweeking. Lots of old stuff in here, so if I did miss a credit it is unintentional, let me know, and I will correct, since "God I hate it when someone misses a credit!!" I know, starting to ramble, chaulk it up to old age...but geee this one was fun to do.

Alice was always an aquired taste as were AS' outfits, seems like folks either loved them or hated them with no inbetween to be found. I for one love their stuff and am glad I've got many of their things in my runtime. She looks fine here. The "generic IBL" lighting doesn't do much for me in this unfortunately, it seems a little "flat" for some reason. While the shadows are typically soft they're almost too much so, to the point where she almost appears to be floating above the ground plane. I guess maybe in a "Winterland" they might just be like that though. All-in-all a nice render.

Yup yup. Very cool. It's funny. I'm the opposite of Toad. I don't have any of this stuff. But only because I don't think I ever got around to it. I actually stuck with Sydney/Jessie G2 for practically forever until I couldn't stand the lack of content or converting clothes -- and I also had a horribly hard time figuring out how to install Vicky into my runtime. Oh my freaking God. But once I finally got that right, I just never looked back. Great upload! It was fun reading your insights as well as Toad's.

Actually, standing back and looking at it, I do see some of Toads' points. As it transfered into gallery, looks like the skin gloss needs toned down and the metal should have a bit of gleam. The wife liked this on best at about 100 pixel samples when it was fuzzy and looked like a million little brush strokes. Mayhaps I will "redeux" and see what happens. This is why I always welcome comments, good and bad. Thanls to you all.
