Description

A Meeting of Sisters.. It had been nearly two years since Roxanne had ended the chaos and darkness of Kalud's reign of cruelty and malice. Her wounds from the battle had healed, but she remembered well the exhausting fight - Kalud had fought like the cornered animal he was, but his fear and hate blinded him with mindless rage. It only took one moment of miscalculation, and his head fell at Roxanne's feet. Now, Roxanne, and her sister Rianne had journeyed far to the north, to the realm of the Sisters of The Moon, a mysterious tribe of women of whom it was said could talk to the trees, animals, and birds of the sky. Indeed it was a Raven that brought news of the summoning to Roxanne. And now Roxanne and Rianne stood at the Temple of The Moon; the holiest place in the Northern Realm. There were they met by Kayla and her younger sister, Layla. Roxanne spoke first: "Greetings, Sisters of the Northern Realms! We have traveled far, and through many adventures to answer your summon. We are tired and hungry. Have you food and rest for two weary travelers? And we would hear why you have summoned us here." Kayla answered: "Sisters of the Western lands, we welcome you! Food and rest you shall have; and answers. We live far from your realm, but Rilaun blood flows in our veins as well. And we are all in danger, Sisters. A new threat is rising in the east." "Here is my sister Layla. She has seen but fifteen harvests, yet already she has the gift of long-vision. She sees things others cannot, and her powers and knowledge of the Deep Magic are vast. And dark things has she seen. Come, hear her wisdom, and see her vision." Layla spoke softly, yet with a voice that seemed to come from a time beyond reckoning: "Sisters, see now my vision." At once the two Orbitoids she was holding silently lifted into the air. A smoky vision began to take shape - a vision of a ship; a vessel of the Corsairs of the East. "A new overlord the Corsairs of the East have. He is named Rothel, the Dark-Heart, and he is the half-brother of Kalud, whom you, Roxanne, have justly slain. He has vowed revenge. He has vowed to sack and burn all realms that stand in his way until he finds and slays you." "Even, now, Sisters, his ships make their way to the shores of our fair lands. We must, all of us, stand together to defeat this new darkness." "So it shall be, Sisters!" Roxanne said. "This Rothel shall fall to my blade as did his evil half-brother!" "And his minions shall feel the sting of my Dangel!" Exclaimed Rianne. "Together we shall stand, and overcome!" "Together!" All four sisters exclaimed as one voice.

I hope you enjoyed my little flight of fancy with four of Pixeluna / Shadownet’s lovely ladies. This is dedicated to four of the finest folks I’ve had the pleasure to know: Lil’ Sis, Jenny (Pixeluna), Rob (Shadownet), Chuck (Chucknepo), and Ken (Ghostman). And as well, I want to dedicate this to the lovely lady who inspired Roxanne’s name – a great friend, and a brilliant artist. I’ve been working on this image for quite some time. By far, I’ve thrown more things at Poser Pro 2012 that I would ever have dared think about with Poser 8. PP2012 just ate it up, and wanted desert. It took about an hour to render this, but no problems at all. The hanging lamps on the Mogul Fantasy structure needed a bit of fire to go with the point lights I added to them, so I created a little fire-looking thing in Hexagon, and saved it as an .obj file. They’re actually kinda cheesy looking, but at a distance (and partially obscured by leaves) I think they look ok. I hand painted the Corsair ship in Photoshop – I painted it on a transparent layer, with a few soft brushes, and a small hard-edged brush. I wanted to give it a wispy, ethereal look, as if it was made from smoke. I loosely based it on the Corsiar ships from Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. The background sky image is my first very feeble attempt to render something with Vue 10 Complete – and it IS feeble. Hence it’s role as a background image! As always, thanks so much for dropping by, and for any comments you may wish to leave. I do appreciate them all!

I am so impressed at how sharp the power of your imagination is, creating a scene after Kalud's death and putting together an extension such as the meeting of sisters just wows me. I am also impressed at the ethereal-looking ship, almost like a hologram from the crystal ball. Such powerful interpretation, Big Bro! Just glad to know you are already playing with Vue, it must be fun learning all these programs.

Wow! I LOVE this one Rod! As you know, I'm a huge LOTR fan, so I really, really like the 'smoke' Corsair ship. And the women all meeting up together in the story is great. I think my favorite one is the second from the left. She's very pretty! And I don't know if this Kalud knows it or not, but a group of pissed off women can make a very formidable foe!!!

Awesome! You are a great storyteller on numerous subjects it would seem. Nice follow up to original. Excellent illustration. Great render and composition from front to back. It's nice to see all the ladies gathered together and your 'vision' effects are clever and well done. I like th ship. But the big question is...Will there be more? Great work.

First let me say thank you for mentioning my name, but all credit for this set goes to the Pixeluna crew and their months of hard work. It is a great idea to add another chapter to the story book and you have written it well. And a magical scene you have created to go with it. All well done and delivered in a solid package.
