An interesting sky you have captured. Thank goodness those ghastly tornadoes missed your place. My thoughts go out to all those that had so much damage done. I'm glad you are OK.

it did make a wonderful sky for you. I remember the sky after a hurricane and the clouds was really high up. higher than I ever saw them. But the sun came and shine on them as it was setting and i saw rain bows all thought out the sky. It wen all the way up the height of the clouds. i never saw any ting like it before or after. and I could not get a clear shot of it. lol. That was around six years ago and I still remember the rainbow going up into heaven with the clouds.

Glad to hear you're OK, Richard. The weather patterns are getting a bit odd,we had virtually no winter here in New England. No killing frost, so there will be an abundance of ticks and other nasties. No rain for weeks, and none in sight. We're on a forest fire watch. The river by my house is so shallow that one could cross it in areas and not get wet. The ducks, Canadian Geese and blue herons are gone. I am beginning to wonder about whether or not this 2012 thing is just New Age hype, or the real deal.I'll let you know on January 1, 2013. Great sky shot!!!!!

A stunning photo and sky. I'm happy no tornado did hit your house. I saw in the news here, nobody was killed by it. But it must have been very frightening being in it.
