Description
This in an albino koala, taken at the San Diego Zoo, maybe 25 years ago. New South Wales koalas weight 26 pounds (12 kg) for males and 19 pounds (8.5 kg) for females. In tropical and sub-tropical Queensland, however, the koala is smaller. Often called koala bears but they are not a bear but actually marsupials (such as a Kangaroo). Info from Wikipedia. OMG! These little guys are one of my favorite animals. They just look SO darn cute, although I hear they tend to be rather grumpy, LOL. I have never seen an albino one either! thanks for sharing this great photo of two of these wonderful little guys!!!

They sure are cute and cuddly and when you do, but be careful - they usually do a little wee on you ;) while holding them, someone takes a pic, with a wet pattern on your clothes, it happens a lot! LOL BB

Yes so cute and cuddly looking, but if frightened they can disembowel you with their large retractable claws. :D Look but don't mess with them! Beautiful capture of these cuties! :)

What a fur ball! Great scan of the old foto to portray this dead to the world sleeping kaola, Dana, with nary a care in the world. Didn't know there were albinos in the species, but it really doesn't surprise me.

Yep, they are marsupials, not Koala bear as we always call them. I have one at home (just a stuffed toy though). ;-)
