Description

Always make a quick stop at this whimsical and one of my favorite windows here in my hood. Gypsy Rosalie's. As wild and woolly as they can be, for some, wigs are a necessity, and providing exactly the right touch in proper head-covering has sustained Rosalie in the business for 50 years. Whether it's a 10-foot-tall green wig for Pride or a safe and sane brunette look for work and play, Rosalie and her omnipresent cat, whose taste is impeccable.

I like this portrait of a mannequin's head. Not sure why - maybe it's because I've passed stores with heads (with or without bodies attached) like this in it many times & never thought to take a photo of one. And that bright pink, the soft lighting, the close cropping & the emotionless gaze all seem to work well together. Nicely observed & captured...
