Description

In ancient times in the Northern Hemisphere, this season intoned the Rebirth of Life, and of Hope and all Love. It became the New Year in many cultures---including India, when Buddha was said to be born. It became the first of months for the ancient Hebrews, thus the month of Passover, which begins tonight. And in Christianity, it became Easter---named for "East," where sun rises: Thus the rise of the Christian savior. It goes on... Whatever your persuasion, faith or heart, I wish everyone a radiant Time of Rebirth, and much joy to all.

Happy holidays everyone! Mark (I've been absent for family, but will return at the end of the weekend. A wonderful warm time to all.)

Mark this is a wonderful dedication to all who celebrate during this important season to so many. I really enjoyed your brief history of the various cultures and the reason it is sacred to them. This beautiful image you created is the perfect symbol for it, and as I scan up and down can't help but being drawn in by the beautiful colors. Simply superb work once more my friend.

This speaks to me of endings and of beginnings, of life and death, of deep sorrow and quiet joy. (Quiet? With all those colors? Still ... it's a feeling rather than a visual report.) There is fire and dance, prayer and meditation and renewal. A complex piece, wonderfully done.
