I've never experienced the power of a tornado, and frankly never want to! I watched it all in awe on the news, especially a truck that caught hurled through the air. Great post.

Sad sight, we in the New England area know all to well the devastation these storms can bring. Excellent photo journalism!!!!!

Oh, my! Poor peole who've lost their livlihood to the whims of nature. This illustrates how dreadfully powerful these can be. The walls seem to be of cinder block, and yet, they're broken. I suppose reinforced concrete is the only way to go. This is a good photo, showing the damage well. I hate to think of how Forney and Lancaster look, seeing you couldn't even get near them. Lost businesses and homes. I don't know which is worst - fire, tormnado or flood. Keep up the good work (if I may say so, considering the circumstances). :-(

Wonderful capture of a terrible site. As bad as the devastation is, there was no fatalitites from these storms, so people should be thankful. It will take a long time to rebuild homes and businesses, but no loss of life is a true miracle.

3 quarters of a mile isn't that far of a distance..Could of been a different outcome from your vantage point say a mile either side...Feel sad for the store and just happy you are not showing photo's from something of your own if it had went differently...Thanks for sharing Richard!
