Description

Vue8Frontier/DazStudio/Photoshop Back to the pulp classic feel of the fifties for the inspiration for this one, also inspired by some of Frazetta's early works.Figure is Michael3 base and morphs, with elements of The Privateer and Daedelus Sky Mercenary outfits, and a skin mat from the Men Of The Year set(all from Daz3D and imported from DazStudio). The ship is my own model created in Vue using the very limited primitives and some negative booleoning, textured in preset metal and glass materials. Two procedural terrains create the landscape.Sky,light and atmo are all custom modifications of the "Stuffy" atmo preset, with a planet and stars added.Postwork involved some additional distressing of ship and disturbed sand, additional flame photo(CGTextures),signature and resizing. Thanks for taking the time to view, and for any comments!

Very nicely done! When I saw this I couldn't help but think "Spaceman Spiff has crash-landed!" even though it's not really in that style at all. Funny the things that color my imagination... I really like the POV, it's a great dramatic image very much in the style of the wonderful pulps from days gone by.
