These pics were taken from the same run. I am still practicing getting up on 2 wheels and and running down the track. The game isn't designed for it, but I always push the envelope of Gran Turismo. I found some glitches in the first two that allowed me to do some things That left a few people scratching their heads. In GT2 There were two tracks that I could leave and drive out in non-programmed lands (a difficult ride to say the least) and I could only get back into one of the tracks after leaving. I also found one car that after an in game glitch would increase the car to around 10 tons, but also gave it thousands of horse power. It never did to well on anything save for the test track though. Mind you I never cheated the cars I used to set records with, just the ones I had fun with. Speaking of records, I still hold a few internationally. In the first game there were 166 cars and I had made a notebook of all the cars and stats for them that my friends called the GT bible. The best car was actually a tie. The 95 Nissan Skyline GTR Vspec-2 and the Dodge Concept. Most all my records were set with the Dodge. The High Speed Record still stands at 40.0 seconds, but you won't find it in any data base. I have it on VHS. It was the only way I had to copy it back then and I have yet to be able to transfer it to digits. Now Some of my records were out done, but mostly by people who cheated the game and put more horses in their ride than the game would allow by itself. So cheating aside I should still hold the top speed record with a Supra at 264 miles per hour. In GT3 and 4 almost everyone figured out how to set speed records near 1000 miles per hour (an in game cheat), but I have yet to find anything to cheat the system in GT5 (save for creating a second account and giving yourself some of the things you have a hard time getting by yourself. It doesn't work for everything due to new program updates, but for most things it does just fine. You can also copy the info to a memory stick so when you send yourself items you can go back and reload the previous game settings and do it all over again. Sometimes it is the only way to get the car or the paint you want or need in any amount you can really use. Is that really cheating?
