Description
Jennifer Government is the eponymous heroine of the book written by Max Barry.
It is a satire depicting a world where corporations really do rule the world, the police have been privatised, and if you are a victim of crime, you have to pay the Government to go after the criminal - too poor? Too bad.
People don't have surnames as such, they take the name of the company they work for - Jennifer works for the Government now, and she has a bone to pick with a certain John Nike.....
