Description

I wouldn't be sharing my girls with you as Munsterlander breeders in the USA only sell to people who want to shoot & hunt. So as I wouldn't want to hunt I wouldn't have had 26 wonderful years with this breed. Why I am putting this beautiful drawing up of Hattie done by Janeedens son Steve is because imagine my surprise when I was looking on FB (I haven't a clue how it works but I just go & keep an eye on what my neices are upto :o)) to see my Hattie's drawing on there as the logo of Large Munsterlander club of America, www.largemunsterlander.org. I managed to put a comment as to "may I be so bold as to ask where you got the pic as I thought it was Hattie" & gave her details. The only place they could have got it is off Steve's website as I have not put it anywhere on the internet. I had a reply from a friend in the USA who said she was doing the newsletter for the LMCA, didn't realise it was Hattie & when someone found the pic, they thought they would like it for their logo as it typified the LM head. She said they tried to find the owner to get permission but failed. She also asked if I wanted it taken down, they would respect my wishes as she knew what Hattie meant to me. I told her I was very honoured that they wanted to use her & as long as they acknowledged who the artist was & of course who she was, I would be glad for them to use her. So she is there until they decide to change the logo. So that is why I share Hatties pic with you, a beautiful drawing by Steve Pinchbeck (Predatron) Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxxx DULL & DISMAL here :o(

WHAT A CHEEK!!! A superb piece of work, he is a very talented man. Did you see Countryfile about badger-baiting last night? I'd no idea so many B**s did it. When caught they evidently tell the police they just enjoy watching things beng killed. And the poor dogs really suffer as these men can't risk going to the vet and being found out.

That's a great drawing, thanks for showing it to us! Yeah, I'll bet they tried really hard to find out who owned the pic...the standard 'Oh, we didn't know' excuse. I know of a few similar cases here, and in one case the photographer sent the offending person a bill for $450.00 which went unpaid until it went to court, where it was paid, with interest plus other expenses, plus $5,000.00 in damages. And it was well-deserved!

A beautiful portrait. Copyright issues and artists seem to go together (not a good thing)

This is a lovely portrait of her Barbara, and it is indeed an honor that they would use Hattie for their logo.

I think you have been so understanding about this Barbara, because as I said before people should not just take what isn't theres, and then use it without a second thought! I know the hours that Steve put into this drawing, hours and hours, every little hair he pencilled in, and so many times I would see him sharpening his pencils, making sure that every detail was sharp and clear and so realistic. This isn't digital art this is the old fashioned kind, and a very laborious job too. I think those people don't deserve this as they should have not used it until they had permission. I remember when some people stole my photos of pups on my website and were using them saying the pups were for sale. It was a big scam and got customers to pay a heavy deposit up front and those people lost their money and never got to have the puppy they fell in love with - no cos that puppy was mine. One of them was Madelena, my beloved Madelena put up on sites like that, tempting poor people to part with their hard earned cash!! Hope Steve gets back to you, this is a beautiful drawing and looks exactly like your beloved Hattie. hugs and love xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Gorgeous image of your wonderful Hattie. the artist is extremely talented. I find the American association is a hypocritical. By thier own rules Hattie could not be declared as one of their breed since she was not trained to hunt, and yet they post her image on thier logo since she typified how they should look. Wonderful look back at a lovely family member.

I do some sketching, and decided I would like to try something a bit more detailed. Found an art magazine that had detailed instructions on how to achieve this very same type of work, where each hair seems to stand out so marvelously. It is laborious, detailed, painstaking work that takes forever to finish just one tiny section. So I finished one tiny section ... and went back to my sketching! Steve is a fantastic artist. His work his better then a photograph. It is awesome, breathtaking, and has to be a labor of love to even attempt it.
