...found nestled along a trail among Giant Redwood trees in California's Humboldt County, May 2011.
Note added April 20, 2012. The flower and leaves above are part of the ubiquitous ground cover underneath the Coastal Redwoods. It is Redwood Sorrel/Oxalis oregana.
