That is a very pretty specimen~ Just today I was talking to my son (age 31) about a weeping cherry where he works... it is very large (trunk diam is maybe 6") but the graft has the growth all to one side and it looks odd. I think it had other grafts to even it out but they got webworm and were cut. Born and raised in the country he didn't know about tree grafting, the hows or whys... My grandfather was a poor farmer in East TN and he loved to graft his fruit trees. He had apple trees with 3 kinds of fruit plus other trees doing double and triple duty. You never know what you pick up as a child and just assume it's common knowledge.
