Description

Cape Cross (Kaap Kruis) famous for its seals and smel, but the smell is nothing compared to the Sea-elephants in California. Just at a half mile distance from my Jackal capture,( my yesterdays posting) you find a very, very large number of seals at Kaap Kruis . The day started with a lot of fog, well known in the area, and when we reached Cape Cross it was still without a blue sky!! (Where the Namib desert reaches the Atlantic Ocean in Namibia you can suffer from fog!!!). We made in May 2011 a trip through the southern part of Africa ( RSA, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia) . Thanks for viewing, and your lovely words on my yesterdays posting, a special thanks for those who earmarked the image as favorite; comments are always welcome. Have a very nice day, Henk

Seal Island here off Hout Bay does not compare to the numbers here - I am sure the smell does though. Thanks for a stunning reminder to visit the parts of the world closer to me, Clive
