Description
A render to test a couple of different techniques. The very shallow DOF (Depth Of Focus) and the use of a single light. The whole scene is bathed in a single IBL light set in Reality by using the color slider, no image map. This simple technique can actually generate beautiful images.
The blur from DOF has been created by using the new Reality 2.2 improved DOF controls and by setting the focus point on the central pillar of the staircase. Notice how the focus falloff blurs perfectly the upstairs and downstairs floors, just like in a photo.
Rendered in LuxRender 0.9 using Reality 2.2 for DAZ Studio.
