Description

This started as just a test render, but I liked it so I spruced it up and finished it off. I was going for a sort of classical portraiture look, but with some modern touches. I'm very pleased with the results. This was primarily to test Gypsyangel's Dylan character for K4 which I just bought--and am very satisfied with. This is only partially Dylan's morph and partially my dial-spinning, but the textures are all his (except the eyes, which are from Raiya's Anwyn). I love his very boyish eyebrows, which are also a nice color--you see a lot of blonds and dark browns in the Poserverse, but a nice medium brown is rather rare. The shader uses EZSkin. The lights are completely Blackhearted and Synthetic's ProStudio--I highly recommend all their works. I used IDL here, of course, but I'm highly looking forward to their new ProLuma product designed to fully take advantage of IDL. :) I dedicate this to T&B, whose K4 renders continue to inspire me and who has been trying to get me back into doing them for some time. ;)

great work but one thing I hate about kids4 are the "monster" thighs when bending..nice portrait good lightin.

Awww...he looks awesome! I am so glad you're happy with him...I've been a bit picky about the eyebrows they've been putting on the kids. I just can't see them in plucked and shaped brows... ;) This is really nice work, and his freckles are showing up rather nicely!
