Description
Scanned from a 4x6 Matte finish photo.
Toroweap cliffs, Grand Canyon NP. Posted an image sometime ago and spoke of how different this part of the canyon is, but the image didn't really present a broad enough view to take that in.
This vertical view however shows none of the immense temples and Buttes most associate with the Grand Canyon. Here there is a sheer canyon wall sporting a 3000 foot drop. Call me crazy, but I've always wanted to base jump of this cliff.
To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!!
Thank you all that viewed the last image below.

wow!! great deep, but a wonderful place!!

This is exactly what I think of when I think of the Grand Canyon. And breathtaking it is - but tragic. The water below is nearly stagnant and sluggish, turning it green. The natural, modern-day waterline is so much higher. The damming and rerouting of the waterways through the canyon areas is very sad for me. There is a part of me that always pulls for "The Monkey Wrench Gang." LOL
