Description
Here they are! Chevy, Ford, Dodge and Toyota...(Toyota? I remember when the biggest thing they made would fit in toe back of an American Pickup).
I really would like it if they had an S-10 or 2. Even a Colorado. There are several other vehicles that are close to being trucks in the game; such as a Land Rover, a Toyota crossover type vehicle...a Honda minivan...You know what I've been thinking? This game (Gran Turismo) has over 1100 different cars and it never seems to be enough for anyone (me included).
Here is the plan. An open source baseline program is needed. It should be able to incorperate images from Google Earth Maps into a virtual reality driving experience.
The second part would be to have a base model digital car (kinda like the everyman in the Incredibles being usable for anyone). Four wheels, shocks, basic frame of a body...really basic, but highly morphable.
This is where the real auto manufacturers come in (as well as anyone with an idea for a car).
They plug in the dimensions of the vehicle (not unlike creating a 3-D model in one of the rendering programs), give power, weight...you get the idea.
This is where the money could be made! Sell the virtual cars that are driveable on Google Earth!
You'd be able to map out racing areas in your own home town or go someplace you've never been and peel wheels around there (watch out for the digital cops).
Just a thought. If computer classed existed back when I was taking classes I might have been able to program it myself...sigh...Well, when it happens you heard it here first!
Another image from GT5 on the PS3 (sorry not animated this time). Thanks for the view and I pray you have a blessed day!

I am so impressed by the lighting in this image that i am wondering if I am a fool commenting on a photograph whilst thinking it is a computer render!

How about a Chevy El Camino?

Really great work! Fantastic!

Hey this is certainly cool! Thanks so much. Yeah, I agree they should come out with a program or whatever where you can actually build your own car and then plug it into the game. Would love to get a Batmobile version in there somewhere! Ha!
