Description
This was captured back in 2010. In New York, people go to Grand Central 42nd Street, and then walk west to get to Times Square 42nd Street.
For the first time ever in my life, I decided to go East. I ended up at Tudor City at 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue. This place looks like a medieval paradise, with modern city-scapes surrounding it. It's so beautiful, and I am going to go back.
I'm personally proud of this photo, because right behind me, was 1st Avenue. Where the United Nations building is. And it just so happened that President Barack Obama was visiting the city that day, and the police closed down most of the streets. They was also clearing people off the sidewalks. -_-
I took this photo handheld, and I was in a rush because the police were getting irritated, so I went into hyperfocus at f/3.5 when I really wanted to get hyperfocus at f/8 to really get everything into focus. Unfortunately, I turned the shutter dial instead of the aperture dial. :(
I want to do this right, with a tripod...and at night. So, expect that to happen in the next couple of weeks. If I can still keep that vanishing point perspective, I'll be very happy. :D
